The product
Will it fit my downspout?
Yes, in almost every case. Two adapters are included, one for 2 in. x 3 in. downspouts and one for 3 in. x 4 in., which covers standard residential sizes in North America.
Measure your downspout opening before ordering. If you are unsure, email a photo to support@guardwellhome.com and we will tell you whether it fits before you buy.
How far does it extend?
4.92 ft (1.5 m) fully extended, including the joints. It compresses down to a fraction of that when you are not using the full length, so you can set it to whatever your yard needs.
Do I need tools to install it?
It slides on by hand in a few minutes. A bag of screws is included to fasten the adapter to your downspout so it cannot slip off, so have a screwdriver handy for that step.
How does it hold up in winter?
It is molded from thickened PE (polyethylene), which stays flexible in cold weather and returns to its shape without creasing or cracking. It is built to stay outside year round and can even be buried.
Can I bury it?
Yes. The material is rated for burial, so you can run it underground if you would rather not see it crossing the lawn.
Will this stop my basement from flooding?
No product can promise that, and we will not pretend otherwise. A downspout extension moves roof runoff away from your foundation, which addresses one common cause of water pooling against a house. It is not a substitute for professional drainage, grading, or waterproofing work. If you have an active leak or a structural concern, get a professional out to look at it.
Shipping and delivery
How long will my order take?
Processing takes about 2 business days. Delivery then typically takes 5 to 15 business days, so total time from order to doorstep is generally 7 to 17 business days. Estimates can move with carrier delays, customs, and weather. See our Shipping Policy.
What does shipping cost?
Standard shipping is free on all FoundationGuard orders within the United States.
When do I get a tracking number?
By email as soon as your order ships. Allow up to 48 hours after that email for tracking to show its first scan. See Track Your Order.
My tracking has not moved in a week. Is my order lost?
Almost certainly not. Quiet stretches are normal in transit. Contact us if there has been no movement for 10 business days, or if your order has not arrived within the estimated window. If a parcel is confirmed lost we replace it or refund you in full.
Will I have to pay customs or import fees?
Deliveries outside the United States may attract duties or import taxes set by your country's customs authority. Those charges are the recipient's responsibility and we cannot predict or control them.
Returns and refunds
What is your guarantee?
You have 90 days from delivery. If your FoundationGuard arrives damaged, defective, or does not perform as described, contact us and we will send a replacement or issue a full refund, your choice. You do not pay return shipping on a confirmed defect, and in most cases you will not need to send it back at all.
What if I just change my mind?
You have 30 days from delivery to request a change-of-mind return, as long as the item is unused and in its original condition and packaging. There is no restocking fee. Return shipping on a change-of-mind return is paid by you, and original shipping costs are not refunded. Full detail is in our Refund Policy.
How long does a refund take?
5 to 10 business days after we receive and inspect the return, back to your original payment method. Your bank may take a few days more to show it.
Can I cancel my order?
Yes, any time before it is dispatched. Email us with your order number as soon as you can.
Orders and support
Is my payment secure?
Yes. The store runs over HTTPS and payments are handled by PCI-DSS compliant processors. We never see or store your full card number.
How do I reach a person?
Email support@guardwellhome.com or use our contact form. Every message gets a reply within 24 hours on business days.
Do you have customer reviews?
Not yet published. We are not going to invent them. When we have enough verified feedback from real buyers, it goes on the product page with their names attached.
